About Us

Ladyhawk Events is a family business of caring people who want to work together for you, our customers.  We started this business with the goal of building a strong business that would allow us to work together all the time.  Strange as some may see it, we love working together as a family!  We love doing weddings that help start other families down the same path we've enjoyed!  As Event Planners we truly enjoy what we do, both in the corporate world and in the world of social events.  We build events people enjoy and can look back upon with very fond memories, and it takes the right people to do this.  Each and every event we do is an extension of ourselves and our clients, which is why we are so good at what we do.  If you take anything with you from us during your search for an Event Planner we want you to take this advise, "It's your event, and it's the planners job to make it happen".

Kirk

I'm Annette's husband Kirk, I'm the tech support, marketing manager, mechanic, cook, fix it man, gopher and most importantly to me, father and husband!  I met Annette when I was 14 and she was 15 in 1989. We became best friends and then started dating seriously in 1995 and everyone told us "It's about time!", then 3 years later in 1998 we got married and everyone told us "It's about time!", see a pattern?  During our time together she was kind enough to let me chase my dream, so I spent a number of years as a crewman traveling the USA working on race cars from Daytona Beach to Watkins Glen.  All this while I was working a full time job.  This at the time was the greatest fun I had ever had, to be working on Porsche GT3 RSR's and 350 Z's was unbelievable!  Watching your hard work scream around a race track at speeds over 150mph and to know "you did that!" was a fulfilment of my dreams.  Unfortunatley this meant a lot of time away from home, which she was more than tolerant of, she supported me completely.  After our first born was about three I decided to stay home to be with my family and help Annette to chase her dream, so we formed our company Ladyhawk Events and again everyone said "It's about time!", the pattern continues.  This seemed be the right step, after all she'd been planning events since she was 20 so why not do this full time.  I want everyone to understand that we aren't just a married couple working together; we truly enjoy what we do and after more than 20 years together we still play and have fun.  We enjoy being able to spend the time working together instead of working separately.  I know my wife and I see how she approaches what we do.  I know how capable she is and I know how much she enjoys working with our clients.  When I see her working, loving what she does, it makes me feel great.  Knowing she's doing what she loves in life feels even better!  I truly wish that everyone could see the joy she gets from each event she does and how great a feeling it is for this to be a part of our family.  The funny thing is that we now get to share the "I did that!" feeling that I got as a crewman!  This for us is so far the greatest time in our lives, we have our kids, our health, our business and each other!

So I thank you, our clients, for helping us live our dream while we help you with yours!
