Second cut out the number of 3 x 5 pieces of card stock you need. Third cut out the design or image on the card with straight or decorative scissors. Fourth glue dot or craft glue the pieces together and add your decorations. Lastly place the coordinating binder clip on the bottom and viola you are done.

Ornaments aren’t just for the tree!

You can make your coffee table, sofa table; dining room table and mantle stand out. Whether they’re in a holiday bowl or a clear glass vase, it makes a wonderful decoration for the holidays. If you have a plain flat surface, this is a easy way to dress it up for the holidays. This is also a great idea if you are having a Christmas or winter themed wedding. The obvious colors for Christmas are reds, greens, and golds. Some wonderful alternatives to the traditional colors are blues, silvers and whites.

I recommend stores like Garden Ridge, Old Time Pottery, Factory Direct and Ollie’s for great yet inexpensive decorations.

Have a great holiday!
Follow Ups http://www.ladyhawk-events.com/pages/blog/entry/6 Mon, 26 Sep 2011 16:45:32 EST http://www.ladyhawk-events.com/pages/blog/entry/6
Follow up to the Glo Ball Benefit in August. They usually found those of the free hosting service before ours, frustrating.

My hubby (researcher extraordinaire and computer guru) started looking for local companies to help us develop and host a new website. After weeks of researching providers and looking at their work he found Legend Web Works. This wonderful group of people have a very warm comfortable approach to how they work with you in the development of your new site. They are a small firm based out of Mason Ohio with a great group of young talent, they want to do right by you and it shows. After the first meeting with them we knew that they were the best choice since their values mirror our own, providing the best service and product possible to the client and enjoying it.

They truly are a great group of people. The process that you go through in creating a website with them is very comfortable. The more you explain your likes and dislikes to them, the better they are at nailing exactly the look you want.

We hope you enjoy the new look!
June 4, 2011 - Mike & Maggie http://www.ladyhawk-events.com/pages/blog/entry/4 Sat, 16 Jul 2011 17:55:41 EST http://www.ladyhawk-events.com/pages/blog/entry/4
This wedding was in Lake Milton, Ohio. At Mike and Maggie’s personal residence, Kathy Piech-Lukas of Your Dream Day asked me to be her wing man for the weekend. They were predicting rain on and off for the weekend, however Mother Nature was smiling on us. My husband and I made the drive on Friday. My hubby was just planning to be my travel companion for the weekend. It turned out we could use the extra muscle. The set up included moving many chairs, large leather furniture and Tiki torches.

The house and its setting by the lake were beautiful. The rehearsal dinner, welcome party, cocktail hour and after party would be held in the great room. So we turned that room a couple of times throughout the weekend. The ceremony was planned for the large patio area behind the house. Formal photos after the ceremony were taken down the path in the woods toward the lake. During cocktail hour and through the reception there was the opportunity to take portraits; all portraits were available before the end of the evening.

In the formal dining room the table was used for the cake and escort cards. The table was gorgeous with the centerpiece of the table being a large sand castle cake. The cake was surrounded by edible sand, chocolate rocks, shells and sand dollars. The escort cards were hand calligraphy sand dollars, very cool.

The reception was in a tent set up in the front courtyard of the house. The tent was lit with purple up lighting around the edges and pin spots on the beautiful floral arrangements throughout.

With some help from great vendors the weekend was a success. Please check out the links below.

http://www.ladyhawk-events.com/pages/gallery/default/4/

http://www.tmphotography.net/Maggie/

http://www.studiozfilms.com/?s=mike+and+maggie
